So we all know that the holidays are my favorite time of the year but they wear me all the way out. To be able to get to the holidays, vacation, seeing my family and friends, and good food, I have to put up with all the things in the world that I hate.
And Daylights Savings Time.
Because we know I’m already a sickling (although I pretend I’m just reguhlah degulah) these hated things have such a crazy effect on me. They make me DEAD TIRED!!!
So follow the bouncing ball…. The early darkness has me tired. The cold has me tired. Wait…how does the cold make me tired? WEEELLLL…. being all low oxygenated and what not…EVERYTHING makes me tired. So when I have to wrap myself in all the swaddling clothes and the full armor of God to go outside…I’m tired before I hit the door. And let’s not even discuss the fact that the cold seizes up my lungs. I should be allowed to hibernate!
Then it’s the end of Fall Semester. I work at a University…busy! I am taking classes at the university…FINALS! And I’m trying to buy gifts for everyone on my list and PREPARE TO DRIVE 16 HOURS HOME!!! So needless to say, I’m tired and stressed!!
So thinking about all this, I just wanted to curl up in a ball and just lay around and do nothing…but that wasn’t an option when I checked the multiple choice section. So I had to find some ways to make things more POPPING for the Holidays!
Here are the things that I’ve been doing to keep my ENERGY POPPING!
- Going to Bed On Time
This has been super important because you can’t beat rest.
I’m the OFFICIAL NAP TEAM CAPTAIN. Sleep is what I do.
- Having some ME TIME.
I walk around in my fuzzy socks with a face mask on while blasting Christmas music and sipping something special out of my favorite mug.

a. Brew 1 cup (8-12 oz.) of coffee using filtered water, just off the boil, with 2 1/2 heaping tablespoons freshly ground Bulletproof Coffee Beans. (French Press is easiest.)
b. Add in 1-2 tablespoons of Brain Octane™ to the hot coffee (It’s STRONG – start with 1 tsp. and work up over several days).
c. Add 1-2 tablespoons grass-fed, unsalted butter or grass-fed ghee
